Notice for radio listeners about 107.9 FM
The FCC has approved the transfer of the radio station license from a religious broadcaster to Moorpark College. J1HD had been running on 107.9 in Moorpark as a "placeholder" while the transfer was in progress. With the transfer approved, there is a final step that the parties need to do. At some point after this, J1HD will no longer be available on 107.9 FM. We are working on a plan to transition the programming out. Once the transition is complete, the 107.9 signal will be carrying student and other programming from the college.
Listeners to 107.9 may continue listening to J1HD at j1hd.com, the official J1 Radio mobile app powered by Aiir, the official J1 Radio Roku channel, through Alexa ("Alexa, play the station J1HD") and through other third party media players and apps.
J1HD will continue to broadcast on the radio to Malibu and LA's western facing beach cities on 99.1 HD3 via KBUU-LP.
We expect the transition to take place later this summer.
To anyone who listened to J1 on 107.9, thank you for listening and welcome to the world of Japanese popular music. We hope you enjoyed the ride.
